Become a Member
You can become a member of North Charleston United Methodist Church in one of the following ways:
• If you have never been baptized, you will be given the vows of baptism. We offer baptism for all ages. If you are joining by baptism, it is important to call the church office ahead of time.
• If you have already accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, but have not been active in a church, you may join by profession of faith.
• If you are transferring to us from another church, please let us know the name and location of your previous church, and we will write asking them to transfer your membership.
Whichever way you wish to join, you may indicate that you want to become a member on one of the cards in the pew racks during worship, or you may notify the pastor or church office at any time. Then, during any worship service, you may be given the vows of membership and welcomed into our church family.
All members are expected to:
• Worship regularly
• Continue to grow in faith by participating in small group study
• Serve God through service to the congregation, to the community, and to the world
• Uphold the church and its ministries in prayer
• Contribute in proportion to your income
